1 "dark, brown, and furry" (aka indistinguishable)
1 "wolverine" (I think Dad made that one up!)

8:55 AM
We enter Illinois

11:25 AM
We enter Missouri and arrive in St. Louis.

State Slogan - "Show Me"

We take the next 2 hours visiting the Gateway Arch and the Jefferson National Expansion Museum
1:15 PM
We stop for lunch.
Based on first impressions, we thought we were going for something local, but soon found out it was just another Panera in disguise!

4:10 PM
We arrive in Auxvasse, MO in search of family history. Here, according to what we've learned from my brother's research on our family genealogy, we will find the gravestones of distant relatives who were buried at the Concord Presbyterian Church.
We ended up having to ask a local for directions to the Concord Presbyterian Church. You know you are out in the middle of nowhere when the directions include "turn on the paved road." And yes, it really was the only paved road after driving a few miles.

Official Missouri Roadkill Tally

We enter Kansas

We stop for dinner. Thanks to Sarah, we are able to try the new Vanilla Frosty at Wendy's.
I'd give it an 8 out of 10, though in the future, I am sticking with the original chocolate Frosty.
